In 1965 the original Braemar Ice Arena was built for the history laden Edina High School hockey program. Interestingly enough, the arena’s design was used as a proof of concept for the 1966 built Met Center – home of the inaugural Minnesota North Stars.
Since 1965, the facility has grown in size to a total of four NHL sized ice sheets to fullfill the growing demands of Edina High School hockey, Braemar City of Lakes figure skating club, the Edina Hockey Association, as well as many stand-alone hockey and skating events.
As part of an ongoing arena branding effort, White Design Group continues to create themed displays celebrating the proud history and traditions of Braemar. All installations follow an established look and feel that lends a cohesive brand to the entire complex.
